About the Pheasantry
Tradition, Care, and Hunting Experiences in a Natural Setting
Our pheasantry with in-house game rearing is the ideal place for a hunting day full of memorable experiences. The hunting grounds cover 1,100 hectares of diverse terrain, including seven bodies of water, 45 hectares of forest habitats, and 15 hectares of game cover crops. This unique combination provides excellent conditions for both pheasants and ducks, offering them shelter and high-quality feed.
Hunts for pheasants and wild ducks follow time-tested traditions of Czech hunting and include transportation both on land and water. Each hunting day is professionally organized and enhanced with full service, including catering and facilities for relaxation. Thanks to careful preparation, high-quality game, and respect for tradition, every hunt becomes an unforgettable event.
Every year, we raise strong and healthy pheasants, partridges, and ducks with great respect for their natural needs. They are given ample space, top-quality feed, and a calm environment under the care of our experienced staff. The result is game that is not only well prepared for life in the wild but also a valuable part of guided hunts and biodiversity support projects.
Our careful approach to game rearing ensures a balance between tradition, sustainability, and nature conservation.
Our Activities
Bringing Hares Back to Nature
The European brown hare is a symbol of the Czech countryside, yet its population has been steadily declining. At the Martinice Pheasantry, in cooperation with Myslivci Počaply s.r.o., we are committed to reintroducing hares back into the wild. We support not only the release of hares but also habitat adjustments to improve their chances of survival.
Through our ongoing efforts, we regularly release hares into the wild, monitor their movements, and adapt the landscape to provide sufficient shelter and natural food sources. Our goal is to support biodiversity and restore a species that has been slowly disappearing from our natural environment.
THE CALL OF THE PARTRIDGE – Restoring a Lost Voice of the Landscape
The grey partridge is returning to the countryside thanks to our targeted release program. At the Martinice Pheasantry, we connect the protection of endangered species with the restoration of natural ecosystems. Our goal is to once again make the partridge’s distinctive call part of the Czech landscape.
At the Martinice Pheasantry, we are committed to reintroducing partridges into the wild. Our release programs combine nature conservation with a sustainable approach to land use and are delivering real results—partridges are once again being heard in places where they had completely disappeared. This project is not only about saving an endangered species, but also about restoring ecosystem balance and preserving our natural heritage for future generations.
Together with our other biodiversity efforts, we show that human care can have a positive impact on nature—when it is done properly, sensitively, and with respect.
